Malang, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, and Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Komputer dan Informatika (STIKI) Malang signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, November 5, 2023. The event aimed to strengthen their collaboration in the development of international higher education.
In this hybrid event, UiTM Malaysia was represented by several prominent figures, including Professor Dr. Roshima Haji Said, the Rector of UiTM, as well as Dr. Junaida Ismail and Dr. Azhari Md. Hashim, the Deputy Rectors of UiTM involved in academic and research affairs.
Meanwhile, from STIKI, Dr. Eva Handriyantini, S.Kom., M.MT, as the Rector of STIKI Malang, attended along with several faculty and staff representatives, such as Daniel Rudiaman Sijabat, S.T., M.Kom; Arif Tirtana, S.Kom., M.Kom; Anita, S.T., M.Kom; Yekti Asmono Kanthi., S.Si., M.AB; Adita Ayu K, S.Sn., M.Sn; and Datik Setyoaji, S.Si, the Coordinator of Global Cooperation.
According to Datik Setyoaji, S.Si, the Coordinator of Global Cooperation at STIKI Malang, the main objective of signing this MoU is to expand and strengthen the international collaboration between STIKI Malang and UiTM Malaysia. This step is expected to open up opportunities for both institutions to engage in various forms of cooperation, such as student exchange, internship programs, joint research, and participation in conferences and academic publications.
“This MoU also aims to effectively implement international activities while strengthening friendly relations between countries,” said Datik Setyoaji. Furthermore, this collaboration is expected to benefit both parties, including expanding the international partner network for STIKI Malang, enhancing the readiness of students and academic community to face increasingly fierce global competition.
This MoU marks a promising initial step for STIKI Malang and UiTM Malaysia to further strengthen collaboration in developing quality international higher education. It is hoped that this cooperation will bring significant benefits to both institutions and create international collaboration in developing academic and professional potentials in the future.
