Malang City – The 2024 international art exhibition “The Fourth China-ASEAN Youth Painting Exhibition” has been held again. This event was held to strengthen cultural and educational relations between countries in the ASEAN region and China. This event, which has become a prestigious event for young artists, was attended by thousands of participants from various countries. One of the lucky participants was Edzha Karin Xaqilha, a student from the Visual Communication Design department of STIKI Malang, who successfully passed the selection to represent STIKI Malang in this exhibition.

This exhibition is organized by the Guizhou People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, The Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. With the theme “Better Youth, Better Future”, participants were asked to create works of art depicting friendship, mutual assistance and cooperation between China and ASEAN countries.

The participation of STIKI Malang students in this event not only shows individual talent and creativity, but also reflects the institution’s support for the development of arts and culture. Through participation in The Fourth China-ASEAN Youth Painting Exhibition, Edzha not only had the opportunity to exhibit his artwork, but also to learn and exchange experiences with young artists from various countries. It is hoped that this event will be a positive first step to improve relations and cooperation between educational institutions in ASEAN and China and strengthen cultural ties in the future.
